Rotary Club of Encounter Bay has the Goolwa Wharf Market starting again on Sunday

The Rotary Club of Encounter raises a lot of funds for community projects and one of its key initiatives will be back and running on Sunday, July 5.

The club is very pleased to announce that the much loved Goolwa Wharf Market is reopening on Sunday from 9am to 3pm.

Rotary Club of Encounter Bay spokesperson said with the easing of the State Government's COVID-19 restrictions, the club welcomed the return of the market with the now well recognised and accepted social distancing measures to be observed by all visitors.

"Social distancing is a responsibility that we all need to follow and we ask that everyone shows respect for others at the market. We look forward to seeing you all again," the spokesperson said.

The community markets are held on the first and third weekends each month. It also raises funds through small events such as sausage sizzles and quiz nights. It allocates funds to make possible local projects that serve sections of the community. It also sponsors the annual Victor Harbor Christmas Pageant in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor.

Rotary Club of Encounter Bay meets every Thursday for Dinner at the McCracken Country Club. Arrival is at 6.30pm for a start at 7pm. The Dinners/Meeting normally finish at 8.30pm.
