First games of hockey started with the Under 10s playing with modified rules and on half the pitch.

They were followed by Under 13 games where Yankalilla 1 defeated Aldinga Black 0 and Aldinga Blue defeated Victor 1-0.

Yankalilla startled Aldinga by getting the first score within minutes Breige in the Under 13 game. Her brother Rhun dominated the midfield directing the ball to other team players and linking up well with Toby.

Asheka was a great support for Brandon in goals. Well done Brandon for showing great team spirit, as well as doing excellent goalkeeping.

In the Under 16 Yankalilla 8 defeated Aldinga Black 1 and Victor defeated Aldinga Blue 2-0.

Yankalilla fielded a strong side with the Williams boys working together in getting the ball into the net. Finn scoring the first goal and Coell four more throughout the game. Aldinga showed great determination, but Ash for Yankalilla controlled the defence, not allowing Aldinga forwards any chance to score, unitl the second half. It was too late. Yankalilla dominated the attack with Emily, Grace and Kayla contributing well in keeping the ball in attack.

In the Women games Yankalilla 7 defeated Aldinga Black 2 and Aldinga Blue drew with Victor 1-all.

From the start it was a tussle between two strong teams with Aldinga scoring first. Yankalilla reciprocated by the strong play of Kate Irvine succeeding with a solo effort to get an equalising score. Aldinga answered quickly. Erin Smith for Yankalilla volunteered to be goalie for the game.

Yankalilla having new players playing their first game were finding it hard to settle into any form of rhythm , but after half time they played a far better uniform game. Tanya Crompton once again directed play in defence and was ably assisted by Ashley Gibbons and Di Rodd. Marie Gluyas was welcomed back into the side after many years absence.

In the Men's games Victor 1 defeated Aldinga Blue 6-0, Victor 2 defeated Goolwa 6-1 and Aldinga Back defeated Yankalilla 6-0.
