Laneway Youth has been successful in obtaining a grant to hold youth Mental Health First Aid training for Young People in the Fleurieu region aged between 15 to 23-years-of-age.

The program will be facilitated by Rosie Bartlett from Mindseye Training and Consulting.
Rosie is a Principal Master Instructor with over 13 years experience training in Mental Health First Aid, suicide prevention, resilience training and other mental health and drug and alcohol programs.
This Youth Mental Health First Aid program is part of a nationally recognised, evidence-based course which provides your employees, managers and leaders the skills and confidence to have supportive conversations. It has been proven to increase knowledge, early intervention, and reduce stigma within community and workplaces.
Participants will receive certification for three years as an accredited Mental Health First Aider.
Who is it for? Anyone who wishes to raise the level of awareness of mental health issues in the community or workplace, reduce psychological risk and create a safe and supportive work environment. We can tailor the course skills practice to suit every level and workplace industry.
The two day workshop in Youth Mental Health First Aid will be held on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28, from 9am to 4.30pm at the Warringa Room, Anchorage Hotel.

Cost is $10 per participant to be paid at the time of registration.
Interested participants who are experiencing financial hardship, but would like to undertake this program can apply for a remission of the entrance cost. Please note numbers will be limited and so registrations are on a first in first served basis.
