Former NBA and NBL basketball professional Luke Schenscher has delighted local juniors, running a training session for the Wildcat Celtics Basketball Club.

On Wednesday, December 9 Schenscher visited the club, and ran training drills for the U12 and U14 girls and boys sides. Schenscher enjoyed a significant career in professional basketball representing the Adelaide 36ers, Perth Wildcats and Australia, as well as competing on the American scene with various teams including stints on the NBA circuit with the Chicago Bulls and Portland Trailblazers.

The kids had a great time going through a number of skills development drills while Schenscher, who stands at over 2 metres tall, made each one look incredibly easy and natural.

Everyone really enjoyed the professional approach to training, and Schenscher's affinity for working with juniors of all levels was obvious.

The Wildcat Celtics Basketball Club acknowledge the coordination of the session by Jodie Marks and Simon Kluske, and sincerely extended their personal thanks to Luke for helping the kids out. It was a training they will all remember.
