Goolwa Camera Club returns for 2021

Seventeen members welcomed in a new season at the Goolwa Camera Club's regular meeting at the Goolwa Scout Hall on Wednesday, February 10.

The meeting's guest speaker was Luke Bulley from PhotoCo Camera House who brought attendees up to date on all the latest and exciting developments in the technology of photography.

Mr Bulley also announced a new partnership between PhotoCo and the Goolwa Camera Club (GCC), complimenting PhotoCo's current sponsorship of the annual GCC Peter Reedman Memorial Trophy.

Judge Helen Whitford officiated the afternoon proceedings and worked her way through a very healthy 87 photographic entries made up of nine prints and 78 projected digital images (PDI).

Print Open was won by Jan Baskerville's "The Breakaways".

Set Subject PDI was "Portrait in Mono" and was won by Beth Nixon's "Adriaan".

PDI Colour was won by Marnie Dixon's "Rainbow Lorikeet".

PDI Mono was won by Don Cannan's "Love A Light", which was also awarded The Image of The Month which was awarded a prize by PhotoCo.

The GCC will meet again on Wednesday, March 10. Judge Brad Hodge will run his highly regarded "Marvellous Monos" and "Composition in Nature Photography" workshops commencing at 11am at the Scout Hall.

The set subject will be "Farm Animals in a Natural Environment".
