Allen, Kluske win annual golf competition

The Ladies at Victor Harbor Golf Club held their Open Day on Wednesday, February 17 with 100 players from 12 clubs competing in a Canadian Foursomes in hot conditions.

The first prize winners of the jaDs trophy were Jan Allen and Bev Kluske who also won the same event last year.

In second were Mia John and Linda Hodgson and in third position on a countback was Sue Bartel and Christine Fowler.

The long drives on the fourth were: A grade - Cathy Hayward (The Vines), Ali Wylie (Glenelg) and C grade - Jenny Vincent.

Nearest the pin winners were: seventh - Ros Richardson; 10th - Joy Page; and 14th - Sue Bartel.

Dave and Teresa, from VHGC Bistro donated a prize for the straightest drive on the first hole which was won by Kay Watson whose tee shot finished touching the rope.

The dining room had tables decorated by Marie Juleff in orange, yellow and black.

Marie also organised the raffle and prizes which were donated by members.

The ladies enjoyed playing the course, which once again was in superb condition.

Lunch was enjoyed by the ladies in the cool of the Clubhouse.

The event has been sponsored by jaDs Hairdressers for the past 19 years and business owner Taryn Richardson joined the group for lunch and to present prizes.
