The Books and Words Group is pleased to present two events as part of Festival Fleurieu this weekend.
On Friday, April 9, writer and performer Tracy Crisp will present her one woman show, The Vegetarian Librarian at Club Fleurieu, Yankalilla from 7pm.
Her "eloquent, witty and touching storytelling is sure to enchant."
As part of the show, bar facilities will be open and platters are available for purchase.
On Sunday, April 11, Shakespeare will reign as the The Butterfly Theatre takes centre stage at the Normanville Hotel from 4pm.
The troupe will perform Shakespeare's sonnets, soliloquies and songs as they weave their way around the audience.
Bookings for both events can be made via the Festival Fleurieu website at: festivalfleurieu.com.au
The Books and Words Group is also looking forward to celebrating its Post-COVID-19 Relaunch on May 10, from 5pm at the Normanville Hotel.
In a mock court presentation, David Quick, a retired QC, will cross-examine former Police Chief John Murray about his latest novel, Adolf Hitler: Behind the Door at No. 16.
Mr Murray will have to be on his toes when this skilled barrister calls on him to justify why people should read his book. If he is convincing enough, signed copies will be available.
This event will be hosted by the Books and Words Group Committee who have a number of events planned for 2021 and welcome newcomers to join in the fun.
