Two Great Southern Football League Women's players have been invited to take part in this year's AFL Women's draft combine.

Tahlita Buethke, of McLaren, and Abbie Ballard, of Strathalbyn, are two of eight South Australian women invited to participate in the state-based combine.

The 19-year-olds have both played in the SANFL Women's competition for numerous years.

Ballard was West Adelaide's acting captain in the grand final this year, while Buethke, who plays for South Adelaide, was the round eight Breakthrough Player Award recipient.
