What a season we are having and now like in 2020, the netball has been hit by COVID.
No netball this Saturday, so officials will be running around working out what to do next and what to do with the round of sport that looks like not being played at all.
But the round that was played on Saturday still gave plenty of excitement.
It was another successful tipping day for me.
I am finally getting around to all clubs and have been very impressed with the improvement I have seen throughout the season by so many teams.
McLaren Vale are starting to find some consistency and had a good win against Langhorne Creek.
Both these teams have talent and both clubs have great depth.
McLaren are still a chance to make the final four. It will take some hard work and confidence, but they certainly have the team to do it.
McLaren won 41-31.
Strathalbyn continue to maintain their structures and had a win over the Myponga girls.
Myponga are back to their full team and they certainly made Strathalbyn work hard for the win.
Strathalbyn won 43-32.
Victor Harbor needed a good win against Mount Compass to boost their percentage heading into the final rounds.
Victor are certainly a different team from years gone by, but they are another club with strong Inters.
If they continue to develop the young girls, they will have many more years of success.
Victor Harbor won 61-37.
The final game of the round was between my 'Yankalilla Young Guns' and Willunga. I always knew it was going to be a tough day on the court for the Yank girls and they were missing a few key players, however, they always give 100 per cent and never give up.
Willunga were without the Hank sisters. I did miss watching them play, but was excited to see Zoe Trowbridge and Katrice Turner get a game in the League team.
Willunga won 50-24.
Enjoy the weekend off and let us hope it is just one weekend and we can get stuck into the run to the finals.
