Save yourself a trip into Adelaide to donate blood when the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood team visits McLaren Vale in September.
Lifeblood will be set up at the McLaren Vale Function Centre from Wednesday, September 8 to Friday, September 10.
After a successful first visit in June, spokesperson Jennifer Salter hoped about 140 locals would drop in to donate.
"While we already have a permanent site at Noarlunga and we visit Victor Harbor every three months, we wanted to make donating more convenient for people living between those locations," she said.
"We hope those living and working in and around McLaren Vale embrace the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and help Australian patients."
She said the team would return in December, and depending on how well the first three visits went, they could return every three months to boost blood stocks.
"Lifeblood regularly reviews how and where we collect blood, to ensure the best outcome for Australian patients," she said.
"Donating blood only takes about an hour and you can help to save up to three lives."
