The Times 2021 Great Southern Football League Team of the Year and coach has been selected.
All 10 coaches nominated players from their respective clubs who had performed well in 2021 and nominated their choice as coach of the year.
The most votes from the 10 coaches went to Willunga's Mitch Portlock. Portlock then had the tough task to place the side from 47 nominated players.
"Oh wow, what and honour. I appreciate the opportunity and what a side it would be to play for you each week," Portlock said.
The team is - Forwards - Caleb Howell (Langhorne Creek), Tom Pinyon (Mount Compass), Tyson Davis Neale (Encounter Bay).
Half Forwards - Jarrod Kellock (Langhorne Creek), Ziggy Vitkunas (Mount Compass), Tyson Hoffmann (Willunga).
Centre - Troy Blackwell (Langhorne Creek), Brett Ellis (McLaren), Matt Dominish (Langhorne Creek).
Half Backs - Marcus Burdett (Willunga), Tom Derham (Langhorne Creek), Aisea Raikiwasa (Goolwa/Port Elliot).
Backs - Alex Moyle (McLaren), Harry Mills (Willunga), Bern Arbon (Langhorne Creek).
Rucks - Seb Guilhaus (Victor Harbor), Cam Hutchens (Willunga), Matt Skrypek (Mount Compass).
Interchange - Nick Mott (Mount Compass), Brian Fenton (Willunga), Coby Helyar (Langhorne Creek), Callum Tonkin (Encounter Bay).
Captain of the team is Brett Ellis.
