Langhorne Creek is the juggernaut of the Great Southern Football League

The two best teams in 2021 will play off for the premiership in the Great Southern Football League and both have important goals to achieve. For Langhorne Creek it will be four premierships in succession and for the Demons it will be its first since 2009.

Willunga had a convincing win in the preliminary final and will come into the game full of confidence. McLaren had ran out of juice after playing some scintillating finals football the previous two weeks. Under Gianni Petrucci, McLaren will be back in 2022 better than ever.

Willunga have the talls to worry the Hawks and in particular Sellar. Bass, Hunt, Mills, Standfield and Haskett are stars, but the Hawks are loaded for talent with Cleggett, Derham, Arbon, Perrey, Kellock and Blackwell.

The defence of the Demons is unheralded with Nelson and the Scott boys rarely beaten and Nye will possibly get the task on the dangerous McGregor or Howell. Both have the ability to carve an opposition defence to pieces.

Two players that could be major influences in this big game are Fenton and Warmington, who with Beath, Burdett, Hoffmann, Miegel and Altus will need to win the ball at the coalface and starve the Creek runners and forwards of opportunities.

Easier said than done when you come up against Dominish, Lally, Jones, Tonkin, Warren, James and Saunders. This will be a great game with both clubs having so much to play for - four in a row and a 12 year drought.

Kiss Of Death - Langhorne Creek by 7 points.

In the Reserves Myponga/Sellicks will play a match hardened McLaren. Camm, Luke Goodieson, Lambert and Max Gill will be striving to upset the Mudlarks, who comfortably defeated them two weeks ago. But that was on their home deck at Mudlark Park! Ben and Wade Hutchinson, Macrow, Flintham, Grundy and the Haverty boys are up for the challenge.

Kiss Of Death - Myponga/Sellicks by 4 points.

The Senior Colts grand final is heavily weighted in favour of Encounter Bay with Christophers, Hills, Pearsons, Burrows, Smit, Johnson, Sutcliff and Walker forming a tight unit.

Willunga would enjoy their South boys playing and that would really make a difference, but that is not to be and they will have to rely on more heroics from Tyson Woodcock. What a goal he kicked last week to ride the side into the grand final. Hams, Steele, Drury, Amos, Bekkers and the Daniell boys will give their all.

Kiss Of Death - Encounter Bay by 28 points.

Willunga will play McLaren in the Junior Colts and with the likes of Draper, Nye, Moore, Wadewitz, Carnevale and Saunders they could take it up to the minor premiers. McLaren have some class in Petrucci, Walden, Grimley, Sterzl, Tana and Tortorelli.

Kiss Of Death - McLaren by 1 point.
