The first annual South Coast Realty Pink Golf Day was a raging success on Friday, September 10, at the Victor Harbor Golf Club (VHGC).
More than 140 golfers teed off in shotgun style with a majority dressed in pink.
South Coast Realty's Rob Heaslip said the day was a huge success.
"It was a bright, sunny 23 degree day and the golf course was in stunning condition," he said.
"We would like to thank the Victor Harbor Golf Club and the greenkeepers for having the course in such magnificent condition and letting us have the use of these superb facilities.
"We raised $6500 on the day for local Breast Cancer Foundation, which is the Women's Cancer Support Group Victor Harbor.
"Cancer is a shocking disease and everyone has been impacted with it one way or another.
"Having a day like this gets everybody out to play a game of golf, have some fun and raise funds and awareness of cancer."
Rob said he had to thank so many people, as it is not often you can organise a game of golf and more than 140 people turn up.
"I have to thank all those that played on a working day and a huge thanks to the sponsors and those who donated for the day.
"We not only raised funds for playing a game of golf, but we also ran a raffle and auctioned off a lot of items," Rob said.
"The day could not have been so successful without the support of Hills & Fleurieu Insurance Brokers, South Coast Realty, David Basham, Grosvenor Hotel, Libby Bancroft, Vince Violi and Riley's Wines, Eckermann Conveyancers, Brad Eckermann, Sea Breeze Services, VHGC Pro Shop, VHGC members, Boulevard Cafe, Jan Menzies, McCracken Resort, Rick Kowacz, Linda Hodgson, Bernie Hobbs, Brian Hockney, Trevor Rose, Monica Fulton, Strathalbyn Small Engines, Harbor Bakery, Kev's Butchers, ANZ Bank, NE Promo, Notable Imprint, Happy FM.
"Please support the businesses that support these charities."
The next Pink Golf Day is at Yankalilla Golf Club Friday, October 8.
