The hugely popular food and music series At the Wharf will return to Goolwa in October this year.
Run by Cittaslow Goolwa, At the Wharf follows Cittaslow principles and puts local musicians, food, and wine vendors in the spotlight at the picturesque location of the Signal Point lawns.
Cittaslow Goolwa has conducted At The Wharf events over the last few years, usually on the last Friday evenings in the Daylight Saving months; but like so many other events this has been in recess during COVID-19 restrictions, which now have eased.
The first event of the 2021-22 series will be held from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, October 3.
There will be Paella, coffee and cakes available with quality local wine, and local band Matt and the Maniacs will be providing live music.
Cittaslow Goolwa's Ken Smith said a COVID Management Plan would be in place, as between 300 and 400 people usually attend.
"It's an opportunity to relax and have a good time with many local people, great music, and fine food and wine," he said.
Patrons can bring their own chairs or picnic blankets. Food from home is welcome but strictly no BYO alcohol to comply with licensing regulations.
