Sandy Williamson has been introduced as the new president of the Hindmarsh Valley CWA.

Hindmarsh Valley CWA members met in the schoolroom on August 24 for the delayed 2021 Annual Meeting.

Retiring president Angela Davis was presented with a floral tribute by secretary Caroline Fuller, who thanked her for her leadership over the last two years.

Returning officer Marg Yelland then took the chair for the election of officers.

Sandy Williamson was elected president, Angela Davis is vice president, Carolyn Fuller is secretary, Liz Baillie is treasurer, and Judy Bauer is handicraft officer.

Other members of the committee are Margaret Millard (Social Secretary), Marg Yelland (Publicity), Judy Sorensen and Judy Sweetman.

A full program has been arranged for 2021-22 and members will continue to meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month (COVID-19 allowing) at 1.30pm.

Handicraft officer Judy Bauer will conduct her handicraft meeting at 10am on the same day, where members can obtain a SACWA craft pack and receive tuition in the art of Sorbello Stitching, Fillet Crocheting, and create an embroidered scarf hanger.

New members are always welcome.
