The Victor Harbor Golf Club held two exciting sessions of MY GOLF Come and Try for young students during the school holidays.
These sessions offered an introduction to golf with many fun and challenging skills opportunities. The ages ranged from five-years to 14-years.
MY GOLF sessions also introduce life skill values, respect, sportsmanship, perseverance, responsibility and teamwork.
Two PGA members Simon Pope and Duard Nel attended helping the players with chipping, bunker play and long shots while community coach Linda Hodgson concentrated on putting and a challenging game of match play.
All participants had a fun experience showing a high degree of talent, while discovering new challenges in a safe and new environment. All equipment was provided by the club.
"It was wonderful to have support from two of our valued junior members Jack Oxford and Jay McCann, both who have been members at our club for some time, first starting as rookies in our MY GOLF program," Linda Hodgson said.
"Well done to all participants and the many parents who came along. Juniors continue to be a strong component of our club.
"I encourage youngsters to come to the club and inquire on our programs and we are more than happy to introduce people to our great game."
