Strathalbyn motorcyclist dies after crash at Ashbourne

A local motorcyclist involved in a crash on Saturday, October 2 has sadly passed away.

The 60-year-old Strathalbyn man collided with a road sign on Signal Flat Road, Ashbourne.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 2.15pm and they transported the man to Mount Barker Hospital for immediate treatment of his injuries.

He was then transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, but he sadly passed away there on Friday night, October 8.

His death is the 76th on South Australian roads this year, compared to 66 lives lost at the same time in 2020.
