Normanville's Gilbert Dashorst will hold an exhibition at the Fleurieu Arthouse in Hardys Tintara at 202 Main Road, McLaren Vale, from November 15 to January 10.

The renown botanical artist of the Adelaide Botanical Gardens and State Herbarium of SA has chosen plants that grow in his garden at Normanville and depicted them in the fine detail that he was required to execute for the Herbarium in this exhibition.

"I hope through viewing these paintings and drawings you can experience the wonder of the variety of plants in our garden," Gilbert said.

His work has also adorned the South Australian Art Gallery, Parliament House, Government House, the Migration Museum and the Supreme Court of South Australia. In 2013, he gifted two of his artworks to Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
