Great Southern Football League players recognised at South Adelaide Football Club awards night

A bunch of Great Southern footballers featured in the award recipients list at South Adelaide Football Club's presentation night on Friday, October 8.

In the men's league, Hayden Sampson (Myponga/Sellicks) came third in the Knuckey Cup best and fairest count.

Liam Fitt (McLaren) was the club's leading goal kicker with 31 goals.

In the women's league, Jaimi Griffen (Goolwa/Port Elliot) finished equal-third in the best and fairest tally alongside Montana McKinnon.

Tahlita Buethke (McLaren) received the most improved award, while Renee Moon (Goolwa/Port Elliot) was named most courageous.

In the men's reserves, Jesse McKinnon (Victor Harbor) was awarded the J.L. Brown Trophy for being best and fairest.

In the under 18 boys, Luke Mitton (McLaren) was given the Mark Naley Medal for being best and fairest, and also won the most improved award.

Cooper Rogers (McLaren) came third in the best and fairest count, while Arlo Draper (Willunga) was awarded the Fred and Mavis Whitwell Trophy as the under 18 rising star.

The men's league best and fairest was won by Bryce Gibbs, while the women's league best and fairest was Nicole Campbell.
