Throughout the year groups gather to show their support and pay tribute to people and their families in their local community who have been affected by breast cancer.

These tribute events are called mini-fields of women. They centre on an exhibition of 100 Pink Lady silhouettes planted in the ground or on display and often include a simple ceremony.

On Monday, October 11, the local Women's Cancer Support Group, which is part of the Fleurieu Cancer Support Foundation, gathered at Carrickalinga House in support of each other and those who are unwell or have passed.

City of Victor Harbor Mayor Moira Jenkins and councillor Carol Schofield joined the ladies for a heartfelt presentation followed by lunch.

Carrickalinga House and South Coast Realty displayed the Pink Lady silhouettes to show their respect.

The Women's Cancer Support Group is available to all women who have previously or are currently experiencing any form of cancer.

If you would like any further information contact the Fleurieu Cancer Support Foundation at Carrickalinga House on Torrens Street, Victor Harbor, or call 8552 9304. Office hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.
