Brodie Lavis wins Regional Salesperson of the Year

Brodie Lavis, of Lavis Real Estate, has taken out the prestige honour of being crowned the Regional Salesperson of the Year at the Real Estate of South Australia awards night.

Mr Lavis said he was overwhelmed with joy when the announcer called out his name.

"I was very excited. I was nervous all night and I wasn't expecting to win it. My name got called out and I felt like I could have done a backflip off the stage," Mr Lavis said.

"I think next year, we will definitely nominate the whole team. Everyone who works under Lavis Real Estate chips ins and works as hard as any company I know.

"To our magnificent team, Natalie McMahon, Jordan Mezzino, Natarsha Oehms, Brittany Possingham and Marni Harris, this award could not have been achieved without all your hard work and commitment to Lavis Real Estate.

"Kane and Kate Lavis, this was a team effort and could not have been achieved without you both.

"Kane, you are a business partner, brother and best mate to me and as you know we have achieved similar sales recently and this award could have gone either way but I got you this time.

"Phil and Michele Lavis (Dad and Mum), this all started with you guys.

"You have taught us to respect and treat everyone equally. We not only thank you for establishing Lavis Real Estate 20 years ago, but we would also like to thank you both for being the best parents anyone could ask for.

"At Lavis Real Estate we love the Port Pirie community and would like to thank all our previous, current and future clients for your business and support.

It was the first time that Brodie had been nominated for this award in his 19-year career. He and his brother have taken the helm of the business since their parents retired three years ago.

"A good salesperson in real estate is honest and that is the biggest thing. Also communication is important for the community to make sure you are doing the right thing by all your clients and being upfront and fair," Mr Lavis said.

"You have to put a lot of time and effort into your clients because real estate isn't all about the property. It is about the people.

"You need to make sure you are making them feel comfortable and treat them the way you want to be treated.".
