Strathalbyn pool open after river damage delays season

After a water leak damaged the Angas River, the Strathalbyn Community Pool's open date was pushed back - but now it is up and running like usual.

A water seepage from the pool area caused a section of the river embankment to collapse, but controls were put in place to enable the pool to open on Friday, November 12.

The summer pool season has been extended by five weeks until May 15, 2022 as a result of the delayed opening.

Further work will be completed to secure and reinforce the embankment, but it should not disrupt the pool season.

For more information about the pool, visit www.sa.ymca.org.au or follow the Strathalbyn Community Swimming Pool's Facebook page.
