Many wonderful discussions have been had over a cup of coffee, with the beverage a staple in homes right across the country.

For countless coffee lovers in Willunga, they will be able to own a little slice of history with the iconic town named as one of six communities to feature on limited-edition Nescafé Blend 43 tins.

Nestlé Professional and Rotary Australia partnered together to celebrate the incredible community spirit that radiates throughout Australia through its new 'Celebrate Community Spirit' collection.

The illustration on the 1 kilogram tin is inspired by the annual Fleurieu Folk Festival, an event that captures the unique spirit of Willunga and the rich culture of the community.

Rotary Club of McLaren Vale president Olivia Sorre said 192 Nescafé Blend 43 Willunga tins were sent to the club, which they will sell, or donate to the local community, with any profits retained by the club.

"It's wonderful to partner with Nestlé Professional and Nescafé Blend 43 to help support the needs of our area," Ms Sorre said.

"The Willunga tins not only look fantastic but are extremely special as they will leave us with a historic long-lasting keepsake."

To celebrate the partnership and inspire community initiatives, Nestlé Professional also donated $5,000 to the Rotary Club, which will be used to support its Southern Koala and Echidna Rescue project.

"We are thrilled to receive this generous donation from Nestlé Professional to help support and expand on our local Southern Koala Rescue," Ms Sorre said.

"This amazing charity is run by fully trained, professional carers and a team of passionate volunteers who help save and rehabilitate our native animals."

Nestlé Professional Oceania business executive officer Scott Stuckmann said there was a desire to celebrate local towns.

"We wanted to celebrate and support our Aussie towns that rally together and show a true united spirit throughout the good, bad and uncertain times," he said.

"We couldn't look past Willunga to feature on our new range of tins that are designed to celebrate Australia.

"The annual Fleurieu Folk Festival represents everything the town has to offer including diverse music, local produce and great wine.

Mr Stuckmann said the festival symbolises the town's true community spirit and camaraderie.

Five other towns featured in the Celebrating Community Spirit Collection of Nescafé Blend 43 including; Mallacoota, Broken Hill, Toowoomba, Busselton and Strahan.
