Great Southern Football League (GSFL) young guns Matty Roberts and Arlo Draper's footy dreams are being realised, after their names were called during the AFL Draft on Thursday night, November 25.

The South Adelaide players join fellow Panther and pick 1 Jason Horne-Francis in making the next step in their football careers.

Roberts hails from the Langhorne Creek Football Club, where he won a GSFL A grade flag in 2018 at just 15 years of age.

He is a strong-bodied midfielder and forward, and performed well for the Panthers this season.

The consistency he showed led to the Sydney Swans drafting him with pick 34.

Draper got into the game at Willunga Football Club, where he also plays as a midfielder and forward, but has the ability to go down back in defence as well.

The agile high-flyer made his SANFL league debut this year and his smarts around the stoppages are impressive to watch.

Collingwood Football Club selected him with pick 45.
